IC Med Inc. is an ISO 13485 certified contract manufacturer who services the Orthopedic, Neurological, and Surgical Instrumentation markets through their various machining processes: Swiss Precision Machining, EDM Machining, Implant Manufacturing, CNC Machining, CNC Laser Marking and Surgical Instrumentation. Our processes also include Medical Component Assembly and Finishing.
Swiss Precision Machining
IC Med Inc's multi-axis Swiss turning equipment is used for micro
machining small-diameter parts. For the most complex projects,
our Citizen Cincom dual-spindle, multi-axis machines are ideal.
These machines offer between 7- and 11-axis capabilities and diverse tooling options.
The advantages of our CNC Swiss automatic machining include,
extreme precision and the efficiency of performing
multiple operations simultaneously. Some of our dual-spindle
machines can hold up to 13 live tools, each with
programmed precision.
CNC Milling
IC Med Inc. operates a number of multi-axis CNC milling machines.Vertical and horizontal milling equipment, as well as thread
milling equipment, is used in our CNC job shop. We operate
advanced machines with spindle speeds of up to 30,000 rpm.
Multi axis machining with high speed milling offers versatility
and a valuable option for initial machining of complex parts or
complete production of less intricate designs.
EDM Machining
IC Med Inc's Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) offers burr-free and stress-free micro machining of conductive materials. EDM
vaporizes metal to create complex shapes, cavities, recessed
or intermittent cuts, etc. The precision of this micro machining
process is possible because there is no contact between the
piece and the tool, thereby eliminating distortions and burrs.
